After last week´s preview of Dior´s new Trianon spring collection, I would like to give you a quick look and short review about three of my favorite products:
The above pic shows me wearing the Diorblush Trianon Edition in Corail Bagattelle, a bright, vivid pink-coral color with a satiny matte finish. I was surprised about how pigmented this blush is, and one or two brush strokes were enough to show up on my skintone. Corail Bagatelle is a color that I will get a lot of use out of – it is a very easy to wear tone and I would say that it works year-round if you want that fresh look on your face.
Another highlight of Dior´s new makeup-line are the Fusion Mono Matte Eyeshadows which have a specialized texture that’s designed to fuse to the eyelid, leaving nothing behind but a layer of true, hazy, matte color. Plus, they are supposed to be very long lasting. Well, for the past week or so, I have been wearing the color Mirage (a taupish shade of brown/grey). While the formula is mousse textured and creamy, once applied, it is quickly setting to powder. I have tried this eyeshadow for long hours (and even gym visits), and I am happy to report it lasted the entire day without creasing!
My favorite product is “Porcelaine”, a wonderful baby blue nail polish which is just perfect if you´re having the winter blues and are in need of a touch of color. The formula is a bit sheer, which is why I applied two coats, but with a good top coat, you´re manicure is set for four days. I really like this color – it is not too bright, but still fun.
Resumé: In my opinion, the mono matte eyeshadows are a great addition to any daily make-up routine as they are easy applicable and extremly long lasting – a huge plus, if you ask me! The blush has such a nice texture, and the matte finish is perfect for almost any skin tone. This collection offers something for every woman and I recommend you test the products at your next Dior counter.
