No other brand is such an expert in creating the perfect summer makeup-look. In 1984 when the french maison first released its bronzing powder, nobody would have thought that this product would revolutionize the way women would do their makeup. In order to celebrate 30 succesful years of Terracotta, Guerlain has now released an Anniversary Terracotta Sun Celebration Blusher & Bronzer in addition to a few other fabulous products that I would like to review today.
Celebrating 30 years of Terracotta, Guerlain’s perfumer Thierry Wasser interpreted the legendary powder as a perfume. The opening of this multi-faceted perfume are fresh notes of bergamot. Middle notes unfold from tiaré flower and ylang-ylang, the raw material of Guerlain’s sun fragrances. In the finish the Terracotta perfume reveals a delicious touch of vanilla. It’s a strong but sensual scent for every lover of Guerlain products.

This powder is a work of art, isn´t it? When I first got this Terracotta powder it was just like with the Croisière-Bronzing Powder by Givenchy – I quite hesitated to use it because I didn´t want to destroy the fabulous pattern. Consisting of three colors – a middle brown shade, a deep pink tone and a very nice orange, this strictly limited edition Terracotta Sun Celebration comes in a very fine wood design. Unlike an ordinary powder, the lid closes with a built-in magnet and both parts can be separated completely.
The mixture of different shades ensures that the skin does look both sunkissed, bronzed and fresh at the same time. The Golden ornament in the middle makes for a subtle shimmer and lets the skin glow which brings the face to shine. The little box looks like a little treasure chest to me, and the mere sight of this tanning powder makes me immediately put on some makeup. Its scent is pleasantly clean and and reminds me of Terracotta Le Parfum.

An absolute must-have product for a quick and easy makeup is this Terracotta powder brush. This revised version of its predecessor comes with finer and longer hair to create a smooth and gentle bronzing look.

This waterproof version of the Cils D´Enfer Mascara is one of my current favorite products. Since I love to use the dark brown version (shown here), I was very happy to receive the black version. With an extremly durable formula, this mascara will sit tight and stay in place, even after long, warm and sweaty day.
