When I cleaned out my closet last week, I realized that not only I may have too many shoes, but also that my shoe collection consisted of not more than seven, eight different styles. For instance, I own four pair of black pumps, from which I only wear one every once in a while. The same could be said about my addiction to nude/beige shoes: There is not one, but alltogether five pairs of shoes that made their way into my closet. And again, from these five pairs, I mostly wear one for fomal occasions or going out. So I began to wonder: What kind of shoes are really necessary for everyday life? And how any of the same style does one need to own? I came to the conclusion that there are irrefutably a few pairs that are wardrobe staples and that I think every woman should own. These are classic anchor pieces for anybody´s shoe collection and will be appropriate no matter the current trends. Here are the shoe styles I think every woman should have in her wardrobe:
1. Black Pumps
This is a no brainer. Every woman needs a pair of black heels that they can turn to to make them feel like a million bucks
2. Nude/beige Peep-Toes
The go-with-everything, leg-elongating staple
3. Nude Ballet Flats These nude ballet flats are like the white tee of shoes: comfy and effortlessly cool.
4. Studded Wedges These beautiful wedges are fun and flirty with a sundress, shorts or even jeans! And the best thing: they are very comfortable!
5. Leopard-Booties I know, I know… Many of you may be over the Leopard trend. But for me, these booties work with nearly every evening outfit from the LBD to some simple jeans and make a great statement.
