Somehow I feel as if fall season has been skipped. Just a few weeks ago, in Mid-October, it was still so warm that I could run around just wearing some jeans and a thin sweater. The mild temperatures, combined with the beauty of the colorful leaves created a wonderful atmosphere here in Cologne.
But within a week or so, weather completely changed. While I am still in “fall-mood”, it got so cold that there is no other option as to wear some very warm clothes.
As much as I love my coats (after all these years I can say that I have quite a collection of colors and fabrics), nothing compares to the quality of a good downjacket. For my first winter walk of the year, I opted for a warm jacket by Bernardo which is just perfect for cold and windy weather. The jacket is insulated with cruelty-free down and Primaloft synthetic fibers, and it’s very light and thin. You can fold it into the size of a cola can and easily take it with you wherever you go.
What I like most is the fact that this jacket is water resistant, because for someone who is living in a city with over 260 rainy days, this is very important. Still, the jacket can easily be washed.
I paired the jacket with some “mom”-jeans from Levis, a white cashmere sweater from Vince and some Superga Sneakers. Happy Tuesday!
